Soreness

Most patients are stiff or have minor soreness that begins any time in the 24 hour after the treatments and lasts up to 2 days.

In some rare instances, patients can get extremely sore from their body adjusting after their visit and can actually feel worse for 2 to 5 days after the treatment.  This often causes great concern because it tends to be more constant than the original pain but otherwise will mimic it exactly.  Therefore, people often feel a sense of loss of control.  Whereas they may have felt better if they sat or while sleeping, they find no relief sitting or are awake all night with pain.  If they had a non-pain related problem, such as dizziness, then their ‘soreness’ may be an increase in dizziness for a few days.

If this happens, it is almost always temporary and subsides in 2-5 days.  The best thing to do is to be prepared for this possibility and not panic if it happens.
